Bridal Veil Falls

It was unlike any other waterfall I’ve seen. Gushing from a solid rock wall, the Bridal Veils Falls in the town of Tuba, cascades down from a great height before rumbling into a dark pool surrounded by craggy boulders that looked as though it has been carved eons ago. From afar, it indeed looks like a very long white veil, resting on a towering rock face.

The trek to Bridal Veils Waterfalls is virtually non-existent, so fear not, non-hiking buddies of mine. The starting point is just along Kennon Road. And from the highway itself, the waterfall is a mere minute walk away; through a metal hanging bridge with a sheer drop into the shallow Bued River below, that is.

But it’s really not that hard to cross; the hanging bridge creaks and sways a bit, but it’s quite sturdy. Just be sure to hold tight at the handrails at its side and you’d be at the other end before you finish the shortest song you can think of. If, you don’t stop for the breathtaking vista that would unfold right before your eyes in the middle of the bridge.
La Union Grapes farm

La Union grape farm season happens during the months of March to May. The grapes were still desirable and truly delicious even though it was not on-season when we visited the farm.

The Yummy Straberry Taho from Baguio

Taho is a Filipino snack in a cup composed of slices of soft soya bean curd or tofu and tapioca pearls, topped with sweet brown syrup. In Baguio, they made a variation of the ordinary taho and used strawberry syrup and called it strawberry taho. I encountered two kinds of strawberry taho being sold in Baguio.
